The Met Office is the UK's national weather service. It provides weather and climate-related services to the Armed Forces, government departments, the public, civil aviation, shipping, industry, agriculture and commerce. It also work with organisations around the world providing vital services; advancing global understanding through research, and participating in collaborations about weather forecasting. The event should give the visitor the opportunity to meet with the met office representatives to gain an insight into the working life of the weather man/woman.
