Anne Marie graduated from University of Plymouth with an MSc in Social Research in 2002, having previously gained a BSc (Hons) in Applied Economics & Politics and a BTEC HND in Business and Finance. As Head of Learner Research with the Learning & Skills Council, Anne Marie and her team managed a portfolio of research and evaluation projects covering Further Education and Work Based Learning across England. This included the National Learner Satisfaction Survey, evaluation programmes for Train to Gain and Modern Apprenticeships and management large scale research budget. As a representative from England on CEDEFOP (European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training) she also contributed to the equivalent research and policy development across the European Union.

Following a career break Anne Marie went on to project manage the development and embedding of a Fatigue Management System for a railway maintenance company, which aimed to improve the health and safety of those working on track maintenance. The system was awarded a gold star as industry leading by external auditors in each of the three years of its development and implementation.

Anne Marie currently works as a Member Communities Coordinator at IChemE in Rugby, assisting with the running of the webinar programme and additional support as required by member groups.
