Join the London and South East Member Group on a visit to the iconic Tate and Lyle Sugars Refinery in the heart of East London. There will be a presentation highlighting the way that the site has adapted to deliver on sustainability challenges and then a visit the factory itself where you can experience the scale of the operation.

Thames Refinery is one of the largest sugar refineries in the world and offers a unique opportunity to see large scale industrial processing in the London region. The site has been operating for almost 150 years, seeing major investments in the past decades modernising its processing equipment to meet the challenges of increasing energy and processing efficiency, in the face of major changes in the sugar industry.
