Overview

Understanding both the technical and execution decisions that frame the development of a Floating LNG project is key to its success. This presentation will provide an introduction to defining the main functional requirements of an FLNG, whether nearshore or offshore, and discuss some of the key technical challenges for a project through engineering, fabrication and on to commissioning.

Andy Loose - Technical Director FLNG and LNG, KBR

Andy Loose, Technical Director FLNG and LNG, KBR has 28 years’ experience in cryogenic engineering, executing projects in the LNG, Air Separation and Energy industries. In recent years Andy has led the work developing new FLNG solutions for projects including Eni’s Coral South FLNG project, GDF Suez Bonaparte FLNG project and numerous others including Arctic Russia. Prior to his FLNG work, he was Technical Director for KBR on Gorgon LNG. He is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Energy Institute and is a regular speaker on FLNG solutions at international conferences, having also published articles and papers on the subject.
