Technology Risk Management
  • Date From 13th February 2018
  • Date To 13th February 2018

Overview

The approach to identification and management of technical risks by facility designers and owners has evolved over recent decades. This presentation looks at the identification and management of technical risk during the design process. We will consider the assessment of the risk of step outs and new technology, the influence of human factors and organisational and individual culture on the risk. This presentation considers how things that keep the designer awake at night might be addressed. The presentation draws from lessons learned through experience in the design of gas processing and LNG facilities to look at how and why technology risk management processes have developed in equipment suppliers and facility owners.
