Allerton Waste Recovery Park brings together state-of-the-art technologies to make the most of rubbish from homes in York and North Yorkshire. The webinar will cover an introduction to the 4 Rs of waste treatment (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Recover) and a presentation on the journey of your waste from household bin to electricity. There will then be a virtual tour of the site and a Q&A session with a chemical engineer on site.

Speakers

Emilie Knight, Community and Communications Manager, carries out regular talks and virtual tours for community groups, schools, colleges and youth organisations. For this session site engineer, Josh Cooper, who has a background in chemical engineering will join the session to address any technical queries.
