Webinar: Development of Equivalent Duty Controller on Methanol Distillation Column

Webinar: Development of Equivalent Duty Controller on Methanol Distillation Column
  • Date From 29th August 2022
  • Date To 29th August 2022
  • Price Free of charge, open to all.
  • Location Online: 18:00 MYT. Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes.

Overview

The objective of this webinar is to share on development of advanced regulatory control scheme for a methanol distillation column. Methanol distillation column is to remove the methanol from the heavier components while sustaining the methanol concentration in the overhead stream from the column greater than 99.85 wt%.

Our team has designed and commissioned a new advanced regulatory control across three highly heat integrated distillation columns, which consist of three controllers (TC1, JC1 and FC1) by conducting a detailed study on process behaviour and data analysis on duty calculation around the methanol column using statistical techniques and first principal method.

The implementation of the advanced regulatory control, distillation column bottom temperature can be controlled and extensively stabilised the methanol distillation columns bottom temperature and pressure by more than 50%, achieving direct value creation through LP steam saving.

Speaker
