How to enter
Poster submissions
The deadline for poster submissions: Wednesday 31 March 2027 (23:59 GMT+1/BST)
Before you submit, please check:
- You are a member of IChemE and aged between 18-30 years old. If you are not yet a member, please complete your membership application.
- Check which age category you are eligible for: undergraduate, postgraduate or early careers:
- Undergraduate or equivalent – members studying full time for their first degree or undertaking an apprenticeship or related qualification
- Postgraduate or equivalent – members studying for a Masters qualification, PhD or other postgraduate qualification
- Early career – members working in a chemical, process or biochemical engineering field.
- Select one priority topic that best fits your project, and one back-up category from the following: Digitalisation, AI and Automation, Energy and Climate Action, Engineering Biology and Biotechnology, Food, Health and Wellbeing, Responsible Consumption and Production, Sustainable Systems and Circular Economy, or Water and Sanitation.
- Submitting as a group? Groups can include up to five people in total, including the person completing the submission.
- Use the poster template provided. This can be downloaded from the submission form on Oxford Abstracts.
- Is your poster finished? If not, don’t worry, you do not have to complete your application in one go. You can submit, even if some of the sections are not finished, you will get an email telling you that your application is not finished and you can complete it later. Any unfinished submission will not be reviewed. You will notice that there is no ‘save progress’ button but the functionality is there when you press ‘submit’.
Video Submissions
If you are successfully shortlisted as a finalist, you will be asked to submit a short video about your project. Finalists are notified on Tuesday 4 May 2027 and will receive a notification from Oxford Abstracts and a link to the finalist submission form where you will be able to upload your video entry to a set of questions we will share with you. Please note your video should not exceed 5 minutes and the file size should not exceed 500 MB. Deadline for video submission is Friday 14 May 2027 (23:59 GMT+1/BST).
