Young Engineers Awards for Innovation and Sustainability
Terms and conditions
- All entrants must be a member of IChemE and must submit their membership number on the submission form.
- Each entrant/group can only submit one (1) entry.
- If entrants are working as a group, the maximum group size allowed is five. All members of the group must be aged between 18-30 and members of IChemE.
- All entries must be submitted via oxford abstracts. All entries must be received by Thursday 19 March 2026. Entries submitted after this date will not be reviewed.
- All submissions must be uploaded to Oxford Abstracts using the template provided. Any submissions not in the correct template will be ineligible.
- All entries will be judged in accordance with set criteria.
- Within each category there will be an overall winner and a highly commended entry or entries.
- IChemE reserves the right to not award a winner in the event of the judging criteria not being met.
- If you have previously submitted an entry to the Young Engineers Awards for Innovation and Sustainability in 2024 or 2025, please note that you cannot resubmit work that has already been judged. If you are entering the awards this year, you must either enter a different project, if you are entering the same project, the work must have been extended to have a different focus.
- Individual feedback on any entry will not be given and may not be requested.
- Entrants must not submit commercially sensitive matter as part of their submission.
- It is the entrant’s responsibility to not infringe copyright legislation with regards to images – only images that the entrant has permission to use should be included in the poster.
- If photographs of people are included in the poster, entrants must ensure they have written consent to use the image. Finalists are required to complete a photo permission form.
- All work submitted must be the original work of the person(s) submitting the entry.
- If you are submitting an entry that is based on work carried out with others as an individual entry, you must gain permission prior to submission from your group members to submit the work solely in your name.
- All data submitted as part of these awards will be used in conjunction with IChemE’s data protection and privacy policies.
