Overview

Decommissioning of real assets requires strategic development, engineering capabilities, resource integration, project and contract management, and significant risk analysis. For example, cost, time, regulations, health, safety, environment, and so forth. For this reason, decision-makers need to identify and quantify risks and manage them proactively, and therefore to optimise the decommissioning process by minimising threats and maximising company savings.

This seminar/workshop follows a managerial approach to manage decommissioning projects and perform quantitative risk modelling and contingency analysis; in other words, dismantling complex assets and facilities safely and under budget (cost and time). Finally, participants can increase some skills to analyse uncertainty, identify decommissioning risks, run and interpret Monte Carlo simulations, and determine critical paths and activities.
