A full programme of competitive activities for Year 9 and 10 students, centered around STEM and various exciting fields of engineering.
Schools are invited to select and send a single teacher and a team of 6 students (which may be mixed). The event is entirely free of charge; however, places are limited.
Programme
The programme for Friday 21 June will include:
- warm-up icebreaker session
- team-based collaborative activity
- hands-on workshop run by Learn by Design and Generating Genius
- free lunch
- panel debate between inspiring professionals from varied engineering backgrounds:
- Rojiar Ferschy – Nuclear Engineer
- Jennifer Glover – Aeronautical Acoustics Researcher
- Laura Hoang – Aerospace Engineer
- Ayo Sokale – Environment and Water Engineer
- Mamta Singhal – Manufacturing Design Engineer
- Sakthy Selvakumaran – Structural Engineer
- Yasmin Ali – Debate moderator – Energy Engineer.
- engineering fair, supported by membership and outreach officers from several engineering institutions
- awards ceremony.
