Overview

This webinar will explore the techniques that are commonly used for the abatement of odours from industrial, waste management and wastewater treatment process industries. It considers the range of abatement techniques available and commonly applied, the fundamentals of their operation and presents a number of real-world case studies.

The webinar is aimed at those wishing to advance their technical knowledge of odour abatement principles and systems, including students, graduates in industry and regulators. Participants will gain knowledge in the range of abatement techniques currently available and the appropriate applications for use.        

Presenter

Alun McIntyre, Technical Director, Royal Haskoning DHV

Alun has 36 year's experience in the environmental consulting industry, covering assignments in the UK and internationally, specialising in air quality, odour, EIA and environmental permitting. He has carried out odour assessments for wastewater treatment works, oil & gas facilities, waste management facilities, food production sites and animal rendering plants. He has also been involved in the outline design of odour abatement systems, the evaluation of poorly-performing odour abatement systems and has acted as an expert witness in a number of legal cases concerning odour.
