Presenter

Jasmin Cooper, Sustainable Gas Institute, Imperial College London

Jasmin Cooper graduated from The University of Manchester in 2013 with a First-class degree in Chemical Engineering with Environmental Technology. She then went on to do her PhD in life cycle sustainability and sustainable development at The University of Manchester, graduating in 2017. Her PhD research assessed the impacts of developing shale gas in the UK, and utilising it to generate electricity, to ascertain whether or not it is possible to develop it sustainably and if it could be a viable option for UK electricity (combining environmental, economic and social concerns and impacts).

Jasmin joined the Sustainable Gas Institute in 2018 and is involved in the Methane Environmental Programme. Her research interests include life cycle assessment, life cycle costing, social sustainable assessment, multi-criteria decision analysis and life cycle modelling.
