Overview

Following on from the success of our 2017 conference on Building FMCG structures through engineering, the Food & Drinks Special Interest Group would like to invite you to the first part of our two part conference in 2018.

This year’s theme is on the future of food & drinks, and in particular, developments in the areas of product, process and other related areas of interest. Examples of topics include:

  • Product: microstructure design & characterisation
  • Process: scale up (industrial), automation, in-line monitoring and control, novel processes, process transformation
  • Beyond: factory of the future, industrial strategy, food technology, supply chain, agriculture.

We bring you from both FMCG companies and academia. There will also a panel discussion to explore opportunities for collaboration.

The first conference will be at Campden BRI on the 14 March 2018, with a slight lean towards Industrial (60%) than Academia (40%). We are delighted to announce that Prof. Tim Ingmire, Senior Director of Food Structure & Ingredient Sciences from PepsiCo will be our key note speaker for the day.
