Terms and conditions

  • Only IChemE members based in the UK can apply for the 2024 pilot event.
  • All entrants must have been born on or after 1 September 1994.
  • All entrants must submit their membership number on the entry form.
  • Each member can only submit one entry.
  • If entrants are working as a group, the maximum group size allowed is four. All members of the group must be IChemE members and be between the ages of 18 and 30.
  • All entries must include the application form and a poster in the designated template. All entries must be received by Tuesday 30 April 2024. Entries submitted after this date will not be reviewed.
  • All entries will be judged in accordance with set criteria.
  • Within each category there will be an overall winner and highly commended entry or entries. 
  • IChemE reserves the right to not award an overall winner in the event of the judging criteria not being met.
  • Individual feedback on any entry will not be given and may not be requested.
  • Entrants must not submit commercially sensitive matter as part of their submission.
  • It is the entrants responsibility to not infringe copyright legislation with regards to images – only images that the entrant has permission to use should be included in the poster.
  • If photographs of people are included in the poster, entrants must ensure they have written consent to use the image. Finalists will be required to complete a photo permission form. 
  • All work submitted must be the original work of the person(s) submitting the entry.
  • Finalists will be invited to attend an event at IChemE Head office, Rugby on 28 June 2024. Finalists will be notified by 6 June 2024.
  • All data submitted as part of these awards will be used in conjunction with IChemE’s data protection and privacy policies.
