I am the treasurer of the South West Members Group since its re-establishment, having formerly been the treasurer of the Teesside group.

I have worked as a chemical engineer since graduating from Loughborough University in 2003, holding a wide range of roles in the design, construction and operations of various high hazard processes. Since 2016 I have been a Principal Consultant at Kiwa Gastec, an independent testing, certification, training and consultancy company with expertise in the energy sector. My role at Kiwa is to help private companies, government departments in the UK and overseas, and professional bodies to apply rigorous chemical engineering knowledge to develop clean, sustainable, and safe energy systems. I have a particular focus on hydrogen as an energy carrier, and how through appropriate designs and procedures it has the potential to decarbonise applications that are currently served by the combustion of fossil fuels.
