European Engineer (EUR ING)
EUR ING is awarded by FEANI (Fédération Européenne d’Associations Nationales d’Ingénieurs), which covers national engineering associations in a number of European member countries. It is a professional title, requiring renewal every five years.
EUR ING is a pre-nominal, used before the name and before all other ranks and titles, and aims to provide a recognised professional standard and common measure of competence across member countries in Europe.
The minimum standard set for EUR ING is a seven-year formal package of education, training and professional experience (similar to the requirements for Chartered Engineer).
How to register
EUR ING is available to existing Chartered Members and Fellows that are also registered as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with Engineering Council.
Contact our membership team for further information on how to register.
Alternatively, further information and guidance notes can be found on Engineering Council’s website.
