Step Change in Safety was formed in 1997 with a clear purpose: to improve safety performance through industry collaboration. Today, we are a member-led, not-for-profit organisation working to prevent incidents and injuries across the energy industry.

Our diverse membership spans operators, asset owners, utilities and the wider supply chain, with workforce representatives, unions and regulators contributing to our work.

Through active leadership, collaboration, shared learning and workforce engagement, we respond to evolving industry challenges and turn collective experience into practical action.
