Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) approves IChemE training for CPD Hours

IChemE is pleased to announce that the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) has approved several of its training courses for mandatory continuing professional development (CPD) hours.
Under BEM guidelines, Malaysian engineers must complete CPD hours to maintain their registration. The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), appointed by BEM to oversee CPD, formalised this partnership in 2023.
Approved IChemE courses include:
- Advanced Process Safety Considerations for Hydrogen Projects
- Chemical Engineering for Scientists and Other Engineers
- Fundamentals of Process Safety
- HAZOP Leadership and Management
- HAZOP Study for Team Leaders and Team Members
- Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA)
- Scale Up of Chemical Processes
- What Engineers Need to Know About Hydrogen Safety

Courses are regularly reviewed, available online or in-person, and can be customised for in-company delivery. IChemE members receive discounted rates.
